Part 1 was all about the factual aspects of botox and now we can get into couple of Botox FAQ that you ask me frequently.
First thing. to remember Botox is a Prescription o only Medicines and therefore its use is by Medically trained professionals who also have the ability to prescribe and acquire the product for you. And how others may run their clinics may not be the same as mine. So thee first huge FAQ is about top ups. Now remember the associated lifestyle factors which may make you as a patient require a bit more than the others. So I always leave an open invite from week 2-4 to return so we can review your Botox and its results and give you any adjustments you may require. This is not done with an additional fee.
Next thing is longevity! Now if you were having Botox regularly for instance 4 times a year which is every 12 weeks, your muscle movement in the next year might be so weak that it becomes 3 times a year. I currently have a few clients I only treat 2 times a year. Lucky gals!
Botox does not change your face. I feel I cannot argue this point any further. Now if you were to have a nice relaxed facial expression. That is the results of Botox. You dont become bloated, or look like Spock brows. Now if thats what you want Im sure I would oblige. Yet, my aim is natural results without changing your ability too eexpress yourself. So if you want frozen we might have to negotiate what that means to you.
So moving on Botox is not addictive. If you stop using it your muscle movements return. Im not elaborating further. While I drink my 8£ coffee that I do everyday.......
Finally Botox can be used in so many other aspects Cosmetically. Some are ghreat and some Just dont work on certain individuals, this is based on a thorough assessment. Botox used in your normal upper face antiwrinkles, then theres you Brow lift, Downturned smile, face slimming or support with Bruxism, neck slimming and elongating, lip lift, Nose slimming and tip lift. Theres so much more but I dont know where to go!
Oh! Finally is the adverse effects of Botox, it has zero downtime and some risk of bruising (see my photo of my eye). While botox is very low risk some may experience Spock brows, drooping brows, sluring or difficulty using the straw. These are only temporary and will resolve and some can be fixed with use of mpore botox or eye drops. Its infrequent but when it resolves you will always love your botox!
Im sure there are more questions around Botox and I hope this helps. If you have a question drop it below in the comments or come visit me in my clinic inn Port Solent, Portsmouth and lets talk all things Botox!!
